What is a graduate careers coach?
A graduate careers coach is a dedicated professional to support you in your early career development. This could be the practicalities of your job search & applications, helping you decide your early career path or providing overall moral support. 
 
Industry experience, support levels and client results will vary from coach to coach. So I am proud to say that I am both a seasoned careers mentor and an accredited psychological coach. This means I can offer concrete advice based on my industry knowledge as a hiring manager and private client work. I can also provide a confidential and safe space for any personal challenges or psychological barriers to be supported and addressed. 
 
Starting your graduate career can be testing! My 7+ years working in early careers have shown me that practical and personal skills get you noticed, hired and thriving in your new roles. So you deserve the full breadth of support!

For grads, this often looks like not being a successful candidate for grad schemes or roles, struggling to decide your job-search strategy or career path, or battling with confidence issues even once hired.

What does a career coaching session look like?
A career coaching session should always be tailored to YOU as the individual. No two clients are the same, and neither should their support be!
 
Common session topics my previous clients have brought include: crafting my stand-out master CV, deciding my inspiring career path/s, nailing my interview prep, and building my LinkedIn presence.
 
In sessions, you will typically receive a lot of mentoring (me answering your biggest career Qs), coaching (me asking you thought-provoking Qs) or a perfect blend of the two! So come prepared to gather insights, make practical progress and think deeply about your graduate future. 
Can you help me decide on my career path?

Yes! Deciding your well-paid, inspiring path is a vital first step in you launch your career. During 1:1 sessions, this is a great time to think through your options, gain confidential, tailored support and find the path or paths that work for you!

Do you work with international graduates to find sponsored roles?

Yes! Around 60% of my clients are international students or graduates who require a sponsored role. 

 

The international graduate job search is extremely competitive with approximately 7% of people landing a sponsored role. I'm proud to say that 70% of my previous international clients have landed sponsored roles. 

 

If you have over 9 months left on your PSW/Graduate visa, this gives us ample time to make significant job search progress. If you have less than 9 months, please get in touch to explain your situation further.
